Who is responsible for the Arab refugees?

Israel insists that most refugees left Israel by choice, many following the orders of Arab leaders. The Arabs deny this.
History Clarified:
An Arab viewer called PA TV and citing his father's testimony, complained that in 1948 the Arab District Officer ordered all Arabs to leave Palestine, or be labeled traitors. In responding, Ibrahim Sarsur, Head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, cursed the leaders who ordered Arabs to leave, thus, acknowledging Israel’s assertion. [April 30, 1999].



What started the recent violent conflict [“Intifada”]?

Was it Ariel Sharon‘s visit to the Temple Mount or was the conflict already planned by the PA, who used Sharon’s visit as a pretext?
History Clarified:
Palestinian Minister Falugi: It was not Sharon’s visit but Arafat’s plan after he rejected the American proposal at the Camp David talks. [PA TV Dec. 5, 2000].



Do Israeli soldiers intentionally shoot at children?

The Palestinian Authority produces music videos depicting Israeli soldiers as cold-blooded murderers. The Israeli army says it never targets civilians.
History Clarified:
A 14-year old Palestinian who repeatedly fought Israeli soldiers suffering 7 injuries, said Israeli soldiers show restraint, “have humanity”, and look at Palestinian children as if “this boy is like his son”. [PA TV Dec. 18, 2002]



Who has directed the violent conflict and Palestinian terrorism [“Intifada”] since October 2000?

Some blame Arafat personally. Others defend Arafat, arguing it was lead by independent terrorists.
History Clarified:
Arafat’s Deputy for Political Education, Mazen Iz Adin: "Arafat has lead and directed every stage of the conflict."

Was the Palestinian return to terrorism in October 2000 a departure from the Oslo process or was it always part of the Palestinian strategy?

History Clarified: Chief Palestinian negotiator, Nabil Shaath, said in 1996 that the PA plan was to return to combat using the 30,000 rifles [received through the peace process] if Israel did not yield to virtually every Palestinian demand. [PA TV Jan. 1996]
