PA Leader calls for killing all Jews and Americans

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 30, 2007

Last week PMW released the text of this call for the killing of all Americans and Jews, preached by the Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Dr. Ahmad Bahar on Palestinian television. Israel is referred to as a "cancerous lump, that is the Jews, in the heart of the Arab nation," and the US is said to be "on its way to disappear." Due to its importance PMW is now releasing the subtitled video.

The following is the transcript:

Dr. Ahmad Bahar (acting Speaker, Palestinian Legislative Council):
“This is Islam, that was ahead of its time with regards to human rights in the treatment of prisoners, but our people was afflicted by the cancerous lump, that is the Jews, in the heart of the Arab nation… Be certain that America is on its way to disappear, America is wallowing [in blood] today in Iraq and Afghanistan, America is defeated and Israel is defeated, and was defeated in Lebanon and Palestine… Make us victorious over the infidel people… Allah, take hold of the Jews and their allies, Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies… Allah, count them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one.”

Judaism based on murder “I kill, therefore I am”, says Hamas representative

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 23, 2007

Statements maligning the Jewish religion and the Jews as the enemy of Allah are common within the Palestinian Authority. A prominent official from the Palestinian Legislative Council recently attacked Judaism saying, “it is a faith that is based on murder: 'I kill, therefore I am.'” The Hamas representative, Dr. Yussuf Al-Sharafi, further says that Israel will cease to exist “through blood and Shahids [martyrs].”

This past week Dr. Ahmad Bahar, acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council said that the Jews were a "cancerous lump” and prayed to Allah for the genocide of Jews and Americans with them: "...count them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one."

A similar attack on Judaism by Bahar that was broadcast on PA TV last year included the libel that the “false Talmud, [the] false Torah, and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion call for the murder of children, women and men."

Below are the 3 Hamas statements attacking Jews and Judaism:

"The representative of the Legislative Council, Dr. Yussuf Al-Sharafi, of the 'Change and Reform' faction [Hamas], emphasized the option of Jihad and resistance to banish the thieves of the occupation, who longed to drink the blood of our massacred people... because the Jewish faith does not wish for peace nor stability, since it is a faith that is based on murder: 'I kill, therefore I am'… Israel is based only on blood and murder in order to exist, and it will disappear, with Allah’s will, through blood and Shahids [martyrs]."
[Al-Risalah, Hamas, April 12, 2007]

Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Bahar (acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council): “This is Islam, that was ahead of its time with regards to human rights in the treatment of prisoners, but our people was afflicted by the cancerous lump, that is the Jews, in the heart of the Arab nation… Be certain that America is on its way to disappear, America is wallowing [in blood] today in Iraq and Afghanistan, America is defeated and Israel is defeated, and was defeated in Lebanon and Palestine… Make us victorious over the infidel people… Allah, take hold of the Jews and their allies, Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies… Allah, count them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one.”
[PA TV, April 20, 2007]

Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Bahar (acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council):
“Oh warrior brothers, who stay put and withstand the [patience] test on the land of beloved Palestine. Do you know these Zionists, why they kill the children, the women and the men? This is the policy of the Zionist entity, this is a planned and organized policy. Their false Talmud, their false Torah, and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion call for the murder of children, women and men, and they want to implement them [the books] on the land of Palestine and Lebanon of today.”

Hamas calls for kidnapping more Israeli soldiers as hostages to achieve release of 10,000 terrorist prisoners

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 22, 2007

The Prisoners’ Committee of the Palestinian Legislative Council presented 10 suggestions for action “and the most prominent was the call for further kidnappings of Zionist soldiers as a solution to end the prisoners’ suffering,” according to a report by Hamas's Al-Aqsa Television.

The Hamas statements indicate that they see the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who is still being held hostage, as effective policy, since Israel has already offered to release Palestinian terrorists from Israeli jails. However, due to Israel's insistence on releasing only a limited number of terrorists in exchange for the single soldier, Hamas believes that kidnapping more Israeli soldiers is necessary to release the thousands of imprisoned Palestinian terrorists. As Sa’id Siam, former interior minister, explained: “There were suggestions to repeat the kidnapping operations of other Israeli soldiers… the capture of the [single] soldier will not be [enough] cause for the release of over 10,000 prisoners.”

The following are the transcripts of the calls to kidnap more Israeli soldiers:

Member of the Legislative Council Um-Nasser Farachat:
“With no connection to my being a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and my involvement in the leadership, as a Palestinian citizen, by God, I don’t believe in any solution other than one: kidnapping Zionist soldiers.”

The newscaster:
"The kidnapping of more Zionist soldiers [is required]… 10 Zionist soldiers – maybe less – will guarantee the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners."

Sa’id Siam, Former interior minister:
“There were suggestions to repeat the operations of kidnapping other Israeli soldiers, because we know that the occupation understands no other language. Second, the capture of the [single] soldier will not be enough cause for the release of [the] over 10,000 prisoners… There are many suggestions, but what’s important is what will actually be done.”

Member of the Legislative Council Um-Nasser Farachat:

“We hope that with the help of Allah, praise and extol him, the kidnappers will stick with their demands and will not lower their demands in any way… until they [the Israelis] will surrender to our conditions.”

The newscaster's summation:
“A number of suggestions were brought up during the meeting of the Legislative Council, and the most prominent was the call for further kidnappings of Zionist soldiers as a solution to end the prisoners’ suffering.”

PA Holocaust denial in new PA schoolbooks:
WWII without a Holocaust

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 18, 2007

In response to queries about Holocaust denial in Palestinian Authority (PA) education, the following is a section from the recent PMW report on PA schoolbooks documenting the way in which the Holocaust has been eliminated from the PA’s new Grade 12 history textbook.

History of the Arabs and the World in the 20th Century teaches the military and the political events of the Second World War in detail, including sections on Nazi racial ideology, yet does not mention the Holocaust.

It is apparent that the PA educators made an active decision to leave the Holocaust out of history. The new book carefully treads near and around the Holocaust. It cites Nazi racist ideology and restrictions placed on "inferior" non-Aryan nations, and even describes the post war trials of "senior Nazi leaders as war criminals” (page 46). But it makes no reference to the Holocaust or to Jews, nor does it mention the crimes for which the war criminals were on trial.

Teaching the history of the Second World War in detail without mentioning the Holocaust, the genocide of Jews or even the persecution of Jews is a very efficient form of Holocaust denial. The Holocaust is simply expunged from history.

This new history text follows the model of previous PA history schoolbooks, which also did not mention the Holocaust in their sections on the history of the Second World War.

The books go into great historical detail about the events of the war, but in all of the PA history texts, the Holocaust never happened.

The following are highlights of texts from the PA history book on the Second World War and Nazism:

Book Title:
The History of the Arabs and the World in the 20th Century, for Grade 12. Published in 2006 by PA Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Page 123: Lesson 3 – Racial Discrimination
“Race Theory evolved during the thirties of the previous century, when the Nazi movement appeared in Germany in 1933 and divided the nations into superior and others who were inferior. It espoused the superiority of the Aryan race, from which the Germans originated, passed racist laws and limited the work positions to Germans alone, under the inference that [only] they are equal in their rights and obligations, while others are subject to special laws, which were imposed on them under the inference that they were foreigners in their [German] land."

Pages 23-48: Section Two – World War I and World War II
Page 37: Lesson 3 – The international circumstances between the two world wars (1918-1939)…
Page 37: The severity of conditions imposed by the peace accords…
Page 37: The economic crisis…
Page 38: The rise of dictatorial governments
“With the worsening of the economic and social crisis following World War I and the failure of the governments to deal with it, some of the peoples found themselves standing at the side of the dictatorial rule, which promised to find an effective treatment for their internal and external problems… This led to some states being governed by a dictatorial rule, for example Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan.”

Page 40: Lesson 4 – World War II (1939-1945)
Page 40: The Immediate Cause: “The immediate cause of World War II was the establishment of a corridor, which connects Poland with the Danzig Port, of 25 miles in width, which disconnected Eastern Prussia from Germany.”

Pages 44-45: The End of the War (1942-1945)
[Teaching of the El Alamein battle; the defeat of the Axis forces, Japan’s defeat and the dropping of the atom bomb.]

Pages 45-46: The Peace Accords (1945-1947) – Potsdam Conference in 1945;…
“The Allied states established an international court to bring to trial the senior Nazi leaders as war criminals.” (Pg 46)

As is seen from this extensive education about the Second World War, the PA educators made an active decision to avoid teaching their students that there was a Holocaust.

Germany "imprisoned"
by "so-called 'Holocaust'" complex:
Senior Hamas member

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 16, 2007

As the world marks Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, it is noteworthy that Holocaust denial continues in the Palestinian Authority.

Palestinian Media Watch has already reported that the new Grade 12 textbooks for PA schools teach the history of the Second World War without including the Holocaust [Click to see the report in PDF or in WORD.] Earlier this month, a senior Hamas official stated that the European Union's attitude to the Palestinian conflict is not likely to change under the presidency of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, because Germany is "imprisoned" by a "so-called 'Holocaust'" complex.

Following is the text of Al-Zahhar's remarks:

Former foreign minister and member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Mahmoud Al-Zahhar… said: “During (Chancellor of Germany) Angela Merkel’s office as the president of the European Union, reliance on the European role is diminished, since Germany is imprisoned by a complex of the so-called ‘Holocaust’ and they suffer from it. Therefore, I do not foresee a fundamental change taking place, during her time, regarding the Palestinian issue.”

Hamas Spokesman:
Genocide of Jews remains Hamas goal

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 12, 2007

Introduction
As Hamas seeks international recognition by softening its tone in English, in Arabic it continues the calls for genocide of Jews. In a recent sermon on PA TV, Hamas spokesman Dr. Ismail Radwan made it clear that the classical Hamas ideology had not changed, including its continued incorporation of extremist Islamic beliefs into Hamas ideology and policy. He reiterated:

1. The Hour – the Islamic Resurrection and End of Time– is literally dependent on the killing of Jews by Muslims.
2. The remaining Jews will unsuccessfully attempt to hide, as the rocks and trees will expose them, calling out "there is a Jew behind me, kill him!"
3. "Palestine… will be liberated through the rifle," a euphemism meaning that Israel will be destroyed through violence.

The Hamas spokesman ended with prayers to Allah to "take" Israel and the USA.

The following is the text of the Hamas spokesman's call for genocide of Jews:

The Hamas spokesman, Dr. Ismail Radwan, PA TV, March 30, 2007 -

The Hour [Resurrection] will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, and the rock and the tree will say: "Oh, Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, kill him!"

We must remind our Arab and Muslim nation, its leaders and people, its scholars and students, remind them that Palestine and the Al Aqsa mosque will not be liberated through summits nor by international resolutions, but it will be liberated through the rifle. It will not be liberated through negotiations, but through the rifle, since this occupation knows no language but the language of force… O Allah, strengthen Islam and Muslims, and bring victory to your Jihad-fighting worshipers, in Palestine and everywhere… Allah take the oppressor Jews and Americans and their supporters!

Palestinian builds home in Israel thinking
one day it "may belong to us and our children"

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April, 5, 2007

The daily Palestinian Times, reported today on a Palestinian cement worker who was adding extra cement to the home he was building in Bnei Brak, an Israeli city north of Tel Aviv, because he believed it may eventually be his children's home and he wanted it to be strong. What is significant is not only the worker's sentiment, but that the Palestinian daily chose both to cover his story and to routinely refer to the Israeli city as "his [the worker's] land."

Last month PMW reported that 75% of Palestinian's deny Israel's right to exist [to see the bulletin click here] and this story is an indicator of how these polls are expressed in conversation, beliefs and opinions by Palestinians.

The following is the text from the Palestinian Times:

Palestinian looses job for ‘speaking his mind’

This narrative involves two characters, a Palestinian worker and an Israeli employer. It is a story about perceived ownership of land. This tales illuminates the mindset of both the Palestinians and Israelis. In this account, the worker loses his job because he defends his principles, concerning his people and land...

“I was working for an Israeli employer in the Bnei Brak area inside Israel...the employer asked me to prepare a cement mixture,” said Hamed. “As I was preparing the mixture I put double the amount of cement. When the employer returned and saw the dark color of the mixture, he asked why I have doubled the cement quantity. I replied by saying that I did so to strengthen the foundations of the building since one day these buildings may belong to us and our children.”

“Wherever did he learn to speak in this logic?” asked the shocked employer. He continued by telling Hamed that this is very dangerous way of thinking and is a threat to the wellbeing of land of Israel. He then told Hamed not to return to his job.

Second Hamas video
promotes terrorism among children

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - April 1, 2007

Another Hamas video encouraging the participation of children in terrorism has been broadcast on Hamas TV. The video, which focuses on Ahmed Yassin, Hamas founder and religious leader killed by Israel, portrays young children as the continuation of Yassin. Children are shown in uniforms, holding rifles and participating in military training. The lyrics stress the children's connection to Yassin: “Even though they killed our [Ahmad] Yassin, the land will grow a thousand Ahmad.”

The following are the lyrics of the new video:

"These are the acts of the Martyrdom-Seekers
Ahmad [Yassin] did not die
Do not mourn.
These are the acts of Martyrdom-Seekers
Palestine – one of its leader is Ahmad Yassin
Its children carry the knife.
Palestine – among its leaders is Ayyash [Hamas bombmaker]
Its children carry machine guns.
The land is filled with furious lions
Even though they killed our Yassin
The land will grow a thousand Ahmad!”

[Al-Aqsa TV, March 25, 2007]

This was the second Hamas TV video in less than a week to promote children's involvement in terror. The first was the video dramatization of the four-year old daughter of female suicide bomber Reem Riyashi, singing to her dead mother and vowing to follow in her footsteps. After the PMW report, this video received widespread media coverage around the world, including more than 100,000 viewings on a YouTube posting in just four days.

From the PMW archives:

The following is the text of the song that Duha, Reem's daughter, sings to her mother in the video dramatization [see PMW bulletin of March 21, 2007]:

[Daughter sees mother preparing explosives sticks]

"Mommy, what are you carrying
in your arms instead of me?

[Mother turns to hide bomb]

A toy or a present for me?...
Mommy Reem!
Why did you put on your veil?
Are you going out, Mommy?...
Come back quickly, Mommy
I can't sleep without you,
unless you tell me and Ubaydah [her brother] a bedtime story.

[Daughter sees mother's picture and news story about bombing on PA TV]

My mother, my mother,
Me and Ubaydah are awake and waiting for you
to come to put us to sleep.
Me and Ubaydah, oh Mommy,
still need you to wipe our tears...
Instead of me you carried a bomb in your hands.
Only now, I know what was more precious than us...
May your steps be blessed,
and may you be flawless for Jerusalem.
Me and Ubaydah wish we were there with you.

[Images of her mother's grave and the graves of other terrorists,
including Aayat Al-Akhras, 17-year-old female suicide terrorist]

Send greetings to our Messenger [Muhammad] and tell him:
'Duha loves you.'
My love will not be [merely] words.
I am following Mommy in her steps.

[Finds explosives that mother left in her drawer,
picks up stick of explosives]

Oh Mommy, oh Mommy."
